Who we are
This notice explains how EMTED Property Consultants L.L.C-FZ ("EMTED", "we", "us") uses personal data. We are a company registered in the Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, licence 2647755.01, with our registered office at Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The personal data we hold
- Enquiries. When you email or telephone us, we hold your name, contact details, organisation and what you tell us about your enquiry.
- Clients and prospective clients. When we propose for or carry out an instruction, we hold the contact details of the people we deal with and the information needed to deliver the work.
- Website visits. Our hosting provider records technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs to keep the site secure and working. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising tools on this website.
Why we use it
- To respond to you. We use enquiry details to reply and to arrange a discussion. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or with your consent where you have given it.
- To deliver instructions. We use client information to perform our contract with the client and to keep proper records of the work.
- To meet legal obligations. We keep records required by UAE law, including accounting and tax records.
- To run the website. Server logs are used to keep the site secure and available.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed: with service providers that host our website and email and support our systems; with professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers; with firms a client asks us to appoint or work alongside on an instruction; and with authorities where the law requires it. Some of our support services are provided by a related service provider in the United Kingdom under a written agreement that protects the data.
Transfers outside the UAE
Some of these providers, including that service provider, are outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we do so in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, using contractual safeguards where required.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an instruction are kept for up to two years. Client and instruction records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work and for the period required by law or for our professional liability, which may be up to ten years after the work ends. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.
Your rights
Subject to the law, you may ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or stop using it, or provide it to you in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email admin@emted.ae. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and encrypted connections.
Changes
We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
